Thank you for your comments. I know some brethren that live in India, not missionaries but native people, and their lives have so much more tribulation than mine. It is hard to imagine living without God. I agree with all that you wrote, and there's hardly anything to add. But I will add this.. I don't know if you've followed all this election business that's gone on in the US, but it does show vividly what happens to peoples minds and their attitudes and opinions (and consequently their actions) when God isn't involved in their lives. On both sides of the issues here, malice and prejudice, and selfishness, and pride rule in everything. I'd much rather be out there with you. And the thing that's most disappointing is that it seems like it's one-in-a-million, that actually want to know the truth about God and His word. But as you said, that's when we go to God and let the peace that He gives, work in our hearts. I heard a lesson preached recently where the speaker pointed out that Noah preached for 120 years while the ark was being built, and the only people that he was able to influence were his immediate family, eight souls! Keep giving like you're doing and you'll be blessed beyond measure.

Being a missionary in Papua New Guinea (North of Australia) for 16 years, it is really comforting that God knows everything and sees everything. And also that nothing separates us from His love.

A Biblical view of suffering along with the things you mentioned in your article gives us the strength to be able to continue on doing God's work even when things get hard.

Many times we do everything we can to avoid suffering, but the truth is that whether we are a Christian or not, whatever country we are in, no matter what we try to do there will be hard times that we go through because sin is present in our lives, the lives of others, and Satan desires to destroy us.

It's at that time that I run to the Person that can heal my pain, give me a peace even in the hard times, and find a way to redeem a no-good situation into something that brings life. I can't imagine my life without God.

Anyways. Good article and may God bless your work.

In reply to Johnny.

Hi Johnny. There certainly is a lot of misunderstanding about the idea of "Trinity" isn't there? Whenever man comes up with his own name for something, and whenever he comes up with his own definitions, confusion results. The bible of course never uses the term "trinity". It describes the work that the Father and Son and Holy Spirit of God have done, but the bible always describes God as ONE. The Holy Spirit is God himself, because He is the very Spirit OF God. My spirit is who I am, and your spirit is who you are, that seems pretty easy to understand. Our bodies are not "who we are". Our bodies are simply the "housing" for our spirit. Our SPIRIT is who we are. But somehow people get confused when it comes to God's Spirit. God's Spirit is "who God is". The Spirit IS God. "God is Spirit", John 4:24. And we can KNOW that the Son is God, because of what we're told in John 1:1.. "In the beginning was the Word (the Son), and the Word was with God, and the WORD WAS GOD!" And the Word STILL is God.

Thanks so much for visiting the site Johnny, and thanks for your comments.

As a person who has been raised in a Baptist Church I can relate to the information about Trinity. It does cause confusion for those who don't understand and raises questions among other denominations on whether if those who believe in the Trinity believe in more than one God. Honestly, I have been asked this before. And many people who do believe in the Trinity can't even explain the Trinity.
