People surely do misunderstand God's grace. The gift of Jesus Christ is God's grace. But Jesus Himself makes it abundantly clear that we need to obey His words, if we want to be saved. No matter how much obedience God requires of us, salvation is still by God's grace! Nothing can ever change that fact that it is a gift of God. We could never earn salvation, and we can never be deserving of it. God's grace doesn't overlook sin. God's grace simply provides forgiveness of sins, IF we obey His words! Thanks so much for your comments. May God bless you richly.

Hello Bonto. Thank you for your comments. It's true, friendship with the world is enmity toward God. James 4:4 makes a very bold statement, "Adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore, whoever will be a friend of the world, is an enemy of God." Not a very popular verse is it? Everyone seems to be so "fixed" on this world. How do we convince people that they need to fix their attention and their heart on God? Thanks again for visiting, and for your comments.

Thanks Jim for throwing light on the truth that one cannot be a 'secular Christian' which I strongly agree with backed by the Bible. Christianity itself is the pulsating life of the resurrected Christ in a human person. Christianity is the resurrected Christ living in a human vessel and is based on the resurrection of Christ. There is no Christianity without the resurrection. That is why in Romans 10:9-10, which tells us how one can be a Christian, it says if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thy heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. So Christianity begun with the resurrection and cannot be changed! Thanks for sharing.

I myself have come across people whether strangers or friends that think that there is a gray area in the Christian religion. They believe that since we are under grace, that Christ is more forgiving for sins that they commit. Although we are under grace, Christ still expects us to take responsibility for our sins and ask forgiveness.

It saddens me that people, even the ones I am close to, try to make excuses to get away with their wrongdoings. If they believe in Jesus then they need to keep his commandments just like He says to do. No excuses. There is no way that someone can say that they are a Christian and keep doing the things of this world.

I hope and pray for my friends and others that they will see the light and accept the truth for what Christ teaches and not what they may think is right.
