Hi Jeff. Thank you for your comments on the article. God does want us to worship Him with regularity. Of course situations will arise that may prohibit us from attending the worship assembly. We just need to make sure that our love for God is strong enough so that we don’t “prohibit” ourselves from worshipping God. And of course, we also need to remember that worshipping God is not just about assembling ourselves together once or twice a week, but that the true worship of God is the keeping of His commandments. Jesus did say, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments”, John 14:15. The whole point is to “Love the Lord thy God, with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. For this is the great and foremost commandment.” Mat 22:37-38. To answer your question of what we can do to show God that we’re a faithful follower, James offers this bit of wisdom; “But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers, who delude themselves.” James 1:22.
