I am always blown away by how the Father chooses to lead when we are obedient enough just to follow. II KINGS 20 was the final chapter of my reading this morning. It’s a chapter I am familiar with, 10 years ago it was given to my sister in regards to melanoma cancer which laid within her leg, she knew by this testimony of Hezekiah that if she took bloodroot and applied it to her leg, she would be healed. She was indeed healed after trusting Our Heavenly Father’s instruction through this word! She has never had surgery, chemo, or radiation, and is still very much alive & thriving!! He is so very faithful. I praise HIM this day for hearing the prayer of my sister, healing her body the way HE has is nothing short of miraculous. However, this morning, it wasn’t so much about the healing, it was about the LIGHT. Traveling to Israel in 2014 we climbed all over Jerusalem, under the Temple Mount, the City of David, and King Hezekiah’s Tunnel etc., I do not recall the “steps”, no matter, I am sure the time for me to learn about them is NOW. To be Salt and Light in this darkened world…the message is so very clear within this scripture and your words helped to explain it even more clearly. Yeshua, Jesus, is the LIGHT OF THE WORLD< We are called CHILDREN of the LIGHT, we are commissioned to be SALT & LIGHT. Here, in II KINGS 20, I clearly SEE how this is to be accomplished, understanding that King Hezekiah knew who he was in the Father, also understanding that HIS promises are true, reminding the Father of his faithfulness towards HIM and HIS WORD, he humbled himself to face the wall and asked for mercy. The proof he needed was that the Father, Yahweh, would return the light backwards 10 steps….the LIGHT is so significant in this story. When I considered “the LIGHT”. Light illuminates, it covers all and takes away any and all darkness, it causes a shadow to fall across solid structures (that which is immovable, like faith) , ie Hezekiah’s stairs, etc, but today I SEE it as part of the PROMISE, as you said, “GOD’s LIGHT shinned on Hezekiah for another 15 years. HE, YAHWEH< caused the LIGHT to go backwards UP THE STAIRS< NOTHING< NOT ONE THING< is impossible with OUR HEAVENLY FATHER< after all, HE IS the KING OF THE UNIVERSE! HE proclaims, ” Let there be LIGHT, let our LIGHT so shine, let us NOT cause the LIGHT within us to be placed under a bushel but rather on a Lamp stand so ALL May SEE the GLORY of OUR HEAVENLY FATHER radiate from within us, let us NOT grow weary in well doing, especially NOW during this PLANDEMIC, as we are all walking besides “the valley of the SHADOW of death”, we shall NOT fear, for if the Father be for us, who can be against us, what can MAN do to us? The LIGHT of Our Father MUST shine from within US if we are to be SALT and LIGHT!

Thank you for your inspiring message, thank you for “BEING” here when I needed this to be today’s inspiration and tomorrows teaching! You asked the question, What can God’s LIGHT do fo you and me? HE alone is the one who ILLUMINATES ALL the darkness within us and bathes us in HIS most GLORIOUS LIGHT, COVERS us with the blood of HIS SON, YESHUA< JESUS, and fills us with HIS HOLY SPIRIT.

MARANATHA! May the Father Bless you and Keep you, May HE make HIS FACE to shine upon you, may HE lift up HIS countenance upon YOU and give YOU of HIS SHALOM.

For me, this incident in Gods word is an encouraging grasp of His glory and majesty. He is able to do all things well and nothing is impossible for Him. Time has no influence on our God and He is not limited nor controlled by space or time as we perceive. Can this not encourage us to believe as a child.? Let us all just believe. Hello Charles. Jeffrey was just wondering if there is a book that doesn’t just give a man’s opinion, but one that simply explains what the bible has said. Sometimes a good explanation in layman’s terms can be helpful. I’m not sure what you’re alluding to with your needle and haystack analogy. I agree with you about commentaries however. Many of them are simply another persons opinions. As to why there are 30 thousand denominations.. I guess that just goes to show that man can find 30 thousand ways to twist the scriptures to fit their own desires. I can guarantee you, that the bible has only one correct meaning. Most people simply aren;t interested enough in the correct meaning to study and find it. Yes, the bible requires lots of study. That’s jsut the way it is. Obviously, that’s the way God intended it to be. He wants us to really want to knwo the truth. Thanks for your comments. What are you referrign to with the needle and haystack analogy?

It is difficult looking for both the needle and the thread that goes through the eye of the needle even without the haystack. But I also that “books” on the bible are mostly “commentary” and as such are just another persons OPINION. That OPINION can put you in a different haystack. You will be trying to put the wrong thread into the eye of the needle or vice versa. I don’t trust organized religion. Why are there over 30 thousand denominations and ONE bible for their source?

BTW. Thank you for the history lesson about King Hezekiah and Isiah. It helped me with the approximate date of the reversal of the earth rotation.

Hello Jeffrey. I remember that you’ve visited here before. Thanks for coming back and for your comments. We can all have trouble at times understanding some parts of the bible. That’s why it’s so important to have good study habits, so we can keep learning. We’ll never know it all!

I can recommend a very good book, that teaches exactly what we all need to know to be saved by God. The book is called, “Muscle and a Shovel”. The title is actually a play on words, but the meaning is that it takes a bit of determination and effort (muscle), and some digging (shovel), to come to know the truth. But like the bible says, “You shall know the truth..”

Very impressive article on the stairway of Ahaz, very beautiful photographs as well to go well with the article.

I do my best to read and understand the God’s word, but I must admit some parts are difficult for me to be sure I am understanding it the way God intended.

Could you recommend any books I could purchase to learn Gods word easier than just reading the bible, I am always looking for good Christian based books to read.
