You began with HOLY,HOLY,HOLY. My search was not exhaustive but it appears that is the only attribute repeated 3 times in a row in describing GOD. You mention application repetitively on this page. It seems fitting that such a core attribute of GOD would be applied to so many different nouns over and over in scripture. I grew up relegating it to some ideal state that we would always fall short of but we should focus on anyway as it magnifies GOD's nature and position in respect to our own. This page has motivated me to obey the Holy Spirit's press towards trying out all the ways I can find today to apply holiness to my situation. Much love, Marcus

Great sermon about sanctification, God bless u! I have a few doubts about the details of the process of sanctification.
In your opinion hagios meaning is mainly focus on being set apart, "different from the rest", but, can be used as pure, blameless, sacred, right? Thus, if the Holy (Pure, Sacred, Blameless, Set apart) Spirit regenerated our spirit (reborn) and I quote:
"That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit". John 3.6.
Something born from the Holy Spirit can't be sinful or impure, right? So our spirit reborn is saint, not only in the sense of being set apart, but as being pure, sacred, blameless. So the process of sanctification, can be described as the subjugation of the flesh, because human being as a whole (because we have two natures, saints according to the spirit and sinners according to the flesh), can not express the true nature of the his holy spirit gaven by God, cleansed by the blood of Jesus, without blame because he took our sins, because the nature of the flesh that won't allow we do what we want (Romans 7.14-25).
Why am I saying all that? If the spirit is already sanctified because of the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 10.10), and the flesh won't be sanctified, instead will be discarded, the process of sanctification itself can only make sense if this process, is to subjugate the flesh to externalize the holiness of our spirit. And to subjugate, our spirit needs to grow (learning the duties and principles of a saint to mature) strong and learn how to deal with the sin the dwells in our flesh, am I thinking this correctly?

Hello y'all. I came across this article while doing a morning devotion on the Word of God. I am somewhat of a person who needs help understanding what a word means or how it is used in sentences and this is some great instruction and insight into the word holy. I read the article and as we all should do I followed along with the Bible reading the verses used in the article and I received more clarity of the Word. I look forward to more of this kind of reading and instruction from your site. Thank you and God bless you for putting this article out for us to find and read.

Yes, the true gospel was revealed in this small geographical area at around 1933, so you are almost right by saying our congregation was established in 1933. So far we have taken the gospel to some countries in Africa and beyond Africa.
I would like to chat about the history of your congregation and some key doctrines.

Wow, thank you so much Helen. You made my day with your kind words of encouragement. Isn't it great, that though we live on opposite sides of the globe, we can connect, and identify, and most especially, honor God, through means like this. May we all truly treasure God's "Holy" word. Also, I hope that you will browse around this website, and read a few more articles based on the scriptures. God bless always

Glad I stumbled upon this page while googling "Hagios"
1 CORINTHIANS 1:30
The Greek :Hagios” translated as “Holy” means sacred, pure, and worthy.
Your description was way beyond what I expected - thank you for your insight and foresight.
Truly blessed!
God bless from Sydney Au.
