Hello Richard.  Thanks for visiting.  First of all, let me answer your question..  I submit to God in everything.  I believe that there is ample evidence (both internal and external) to prove that the bible, both the old and new testaments, are the word of God.  The bible is not from &quot;first century Christians&quot; in general, however, the bible IS the result of the writings of &quot;certain&quot; first century Christians, who God inspired to write the various books of the bible.  Those are my beliefs.  Do you mean to say that you don&#039;t believe that the new testament writings are the words of God?  Are you calling the new testament, the &quot;Christian bible&quot;?  When you say that the Christian bible was altered by Rome, are you referring to the Roman Catholic church altering the early Greek manuscripts?]]></description>
