In reply to Denise.

Hello Denise. Thank you for your comments on the Sabbath. I would like to comment in return please. The view that I presented of the Sabbath, is God's view! If only people would be able to understand that what we read in the bible, REALLY is God's word. AND if it's God's word, then that's the way it is! There should be no question about it.

You are right that we are born into this world not knowing where we should go or what we should do with our lives. But again, that's where God's word comes in. His word TELLS us our purpose in life, and it tells us how to fulfill that purpose. For instance, in Eccl 12:13, God tells us that, "The conclusion of the matter is this, Fear God, and keep His commandments, for this is the whole of man" In other words, this is the whole duty of man, that's IS man's purpose, to fear God and to KEEP His commandments! And it only when we accept this truth, that we will really study God's word to learn of exactly what He would have us to do, in keeping His commandments. In other words, "What are His commandments". As we study His word, we learn what His commandments are, are as we keep those commandments, we gain "The peace that passeth all understanding", Phil 4:7. May you be blessed by or God as you look into His word. Thanks again for your comments, Jim.

Thank you Jim for sharing your insight! This is a very interesting way of viewing the sabbath. I love the illustration of "wandering through life" much like Egypt. I think all of us are born into this world not knowing where we should go or what we should do with our lives. It is the pursuit of our purpose that causes us all to become restless while trying to find it. I think that part of that rest comes from being able to find the very thing you were created to do while on earth. Then we can enter eternal rest with a well done my good and faithful servant.
