Hi Verla. Thank you so much for your kind comments. It always thrills me to hear that someone is finding good use for some of my lessons. And I agree with you 100% that the subject of angels, is indeed an intriguing subject. And it does indeed make for a very interesting study. But as you've said, we must learn to be satisfied with what God has revealed to us, and refrain from making up all sorts of stories regarding what is not revealed. Once again, thank you so much for your comments and may God bless you in your studies of His word.

Hello to both Jim and Charlie. Our Ladies Bible Study group at Mt. Zion Church of Christ in London, KY is meeting to study Angels. My lesson to teach is on the subject of Fallen Angels. Our study is one of the most fascinating studies I have been a part of for several years. We quickly discovered that we had much to learn and that much is written claiming to be the truth where there are no Bible truths to support the beliefs. So, I certainly agree with your factual article and plan to use it with Biblical support to inform my lesson. I have spent weeks reading my Bible and love your point that we must accept all of God's word and not that which is popular or easy to fit into our lives. Who am I to think that I know better than God what must be followed when the greatest teacher has spoken and given us exactly what we must do in word and deed? The subject of Biblical Angels appeals to our senses and believers and non-believers can err because it appeals more to our minds, rather than what God tells us. So, let's take, as you do, His word to build our lessons. Thank you. and I will continue to read your articles to inform my belief since they inform Biblically.

In reply to Charlie.

Hi Charlie. I appreciate your comments. You made a point that is SO important; If we want to believe in the bible as God's word, then we MUST take ALL of it. So many people do want to "pick and choose". It just doesn't make any sense does it? "ALL scripture is inspired by God, and is profitable for teaching, for reproof,, for correction, for training in righteousness..", 2 Tim 3:16. Take that idea of the giants being the result of fallen angels, with a "grain of salt". Maybe two grains. One would be very hard-pressed to try to prove something like that. Of course I've heard it, and given it much thought. But it's really only conjecture, nothing more. It does make for a fanciful story. If you're interested, I'm going to write a post about that very subject soon. Thanks again, please visit again, Jim.

Thanks for the info brother! I remember reading a really interesting post on the topic of fallen angels and it was talking about how the giants of the Bible (like Goliath) were earthly manifestations of these fallen angels. It was a really interesting topic. Another thing that's interesting is that even believers can be skeptical a lot of this type of material, but clearly it's in the word. And if I want to believe the Bible as the word of God I can't pick and choose the types of things I believe in. Thanks again.
