Hello Marcia. It’s a pleasure to have your comments and question. Please allow me to comment on the gospel being preached to all nations. This is something that actually has already been fulfilled many times over, and CONTINUES to be fulfilled with every successive generation of people. If even one generation would stop preaching the gospel, then this fulfillment would end. That’s why it’s so important that we all “preach the word, be instant in season and out, reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and instruction.” 2 Timothy 4:2.

You ask who is giving this “international witness” of the word of God. This witness of God’s word comes from one source, and one source only! It comes from the body of Christ, through God’s word, which is the bible. And that ‘s exactly how God has ordained that His word should be known. Listen please.. “..To bring to light what is the administration of the mystery (the mystery is the gospel) which for ages has been hidden in God, (now the mystery has been revealed through Christ) who created all things.. In order that the manifold wisdom of God (His word) might NOW be made known through the CHURCH (the body of Christ) to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places. This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Christ originally commissioned His apostles to “Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15) But the apostles, by the guidance of God’s Holy Spirit, have commissioned all subsequent believers to do the same. The apostle Paul wrote in 2 Tim 2:2, “And the things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, these entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” And so we can easily see how the GOSPEL is continually used as a “witness” of God’s salvation, to the whole world.

Please also allow me to comment about the “kingdom”. It seems to be a very common idea that “the end” is when the kingdom will come. You made the statement that, “We are living in the last days BEFORE the kingdom of God comes.” That is actually a misconception, although a very common misconception. Listen please to what God says will happen at “the end”. These verses speak first about the resurrection, and then about the end. So, beginning with the resurrection.. 1 Cor 15:23-24, “But each in his own order, Christ, the first fruits, after that, those who are Christ’s at His coming. THEN comes the end, when He delivers up the KINGDOM to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power.” So it’s quite clear that when Jesus comes at “the end”, He will not be “establishing” His kingdom, but rather He will be “delivering” the kingdom which already exists, back to God the Father! Now listen to these next verses.. V’s 25-26, “For He must REIGN until He has put all His enemies under His feet, The last enemy that will be abolished is DEATH!” Death will be abolished through the resurrection! The resurrection will come at THE END. Christ was raised FIRST, then those who are His at His coming, will be raised next. THEN, when Christ has come, and when the dead have been raised, THEN Jesus will deliver up His kingdom, over which, “He must reign, until He has put all His enemies under His feet”, back to the Father in heaven.

The kingdom of Christ is a spiritual kingdom, it is within us, in our spirits. Jesus said in Luke 17:21, “For behold, the kingdom of God is within you!” Heaven is no doubt a part of God’s kingdom also, but when we allow the Spirit of God to dwell in our “hearts”, THEN we have the kingdom within us, and we become a part of His kingdom.

However, most people miss a very startling part of the sign that Jesus mentioned at Matt 24:14
that the good news of the Kingdom would be preached to all the inhabited earth , as a witness to ALL the nations, and THEN the end would come.
Since all the other aspects of the sign are undergoing fulfillment, then it is logical that also this part of the prophesy is also undergoing fulfilment at the same time!

Who do you think is giving this international witness to all nations about the good news of Kingdom of God?

Hi Adrian, thanks for commenting. Yes, we are in the last days right now. We’re told in Hebrews 1:2, that God, “In these last days has spoken to us in His Son..” So these definitely are the last days. But of course if these are the LAST DAYS, then that also means that there is NO OTHER period of days yet to come. Think about that please. Since these are indeed the last days, there CANNOT be another period of 1,000 years yet to come. Otherwise THOSE would be the last days. In reality, the 1,000 years that we read about in Revelation is a figurative expression referring to the complete period of Christ’s reign which is right now. Christ’s kingdom has already come. It is here now. Listen to this verse.. “For He (God) has delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the KINGDOM of His beloved Son.” Colossians 1:13. That was written almost 2,000 years ago, and people had been transferred to Christ’s kingdom then, just like we are transferred into His kingdom today, when God saves us. God saves us and transfers us out of this world (spiritually) and adds us to His kingdom, which is the body of Christ. Acts 2:47 says, “And the lord added to the congregation daily, those who were being saved.” 1 Peter 2:9 tells us, “..That you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” Jesus Himself told the apostle Peter, in Mathew 16:18, “I will build My congregation (or church), and then He said to him in V-19, “And I will give YOU the keys to the KINGDOM.” Peter didn’t take those keys with him to the grave, he USED those keys on the day of Pentecost, AD 33, to “unlock” the doors to the kingdom!

The bible doesn’t use the term “Messianic age”. But what it means is; that age in which Jesus rules over His kingdom. And that age is right now, in “these last days”. The Jews use the term “Messianic age” to refer to the age that they still look forward to. But again, The Jews believe that age is when the Messiah, or as they call Him, the Mashiach” will come and establish a physical kingdom here on earth, in Jerusalem. We can USE the term “Messianic age” if we choose to, but we need to realize that Jesus rules in that age NOW!

That’s the difference, the Jews still look for a physical kingdom to be established here on this earth, but all the while, Jesus already reigns over His spiritual kingdom from heaven. And His kingdom exists right now, in the hearts of His children. God said in Jeremiah 31:33, “I will put My law within them, and on their hearts I will write it, and I will be their God, and they will be My children.”

This is where the Lord Jesus Christ returns to earth with His saints to set up His Kingdom on earth for one thousand years, I believe that this is the messianic age that is being referred to.
