  1. Loved your diagram on Body of Christ. Several of the passages talking about His body describe leaders and/or gifts. When people casually look at the lists of gifts, they think that they don’t have those, so, they relax in their seats.

But one gift we all can have, if we develop it, is the ability to build each other up, to love each other. In the NT this command is repeated so often and followed so often, that it seems to be the most commonly stated commandment. Sad, it is one of the least practiced. So, elders of the church MUST take time with members to show them practically how it is to be done. Orly then the body of Christ grows, as each part does its work.

      1. Thank you for reading, and for your comments. I must ask you this however concerning Psalm 51:5. Do you understand the difference between being “conceived” and being “born”? Certainly you do because everyone does. Let me ask you another question.. If I said to you that “I was conceived in happiness”, who would you conclude was ‘happy” at the time of my conception? I’m quite sure you wouldn’t say that it was me who was happy. Well, the exact same thing holds true for David being “conceived in iniquity”. It certainly wasn’t David who was in iniquity at the time of his conception. I assume that you see the point. And so I also assume that you understand that David wasn’t already sinful, when he was conceived. Also please keep in mind another verse of scripture that I cited in the article that you are commenting about. And that verse is Ezekiel 18;20 which very clearly states.. “The soul who sins is the one who will die. A son will not bear the iniquity of his father, and a father will not bear the iniquity of his son. The righteousness of the righteous man will fall upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked man will fall upon him.” In other words, no one has ever been held guilty of the sin of another person. Not the father nor the son shall ever be held guilty of the sin of the other. That pretty much sums it up decisively. Thanks again and God bless you in your studies of God’s word.
