Will Everyone Go to Heaven ?

 

This post is answer to a question that I received.  A gentleman stated that he had met someone who attends a church that believes everyone will go to heaven.  He said they believed that God would never take ONLY certain people.  And the question was, “What do you think about this?”

 

 

Many times I have shown people exactly what God’s word says about something (as I have done on this website), and someone will say, “Well here’s how I feel about it”.  Can you already see the point that I’m about to make?  The point is, with all due respect to everyone (myself included), it’s not a matter of what I think about something, or what you think about something.  The only thing that really matters, is what GOD thinks!  And God has told us exactly what He thinks, and exactly how He feels.  He has told us those things, within the pages of the bible, which IS His word.

 

 

 

 

So let’s just go to God’s word and ask God, that question, Will everyone go to heaven?  I believe that we can find within the bible, the answer to that, and to any other spiritual question that we might have.  So let’s do that right now…  Let’s go to God.

 

 

Our Father, Will Everyone Go To Heaven ?

 

“Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he that DOES the will of My Father who is in heaven.  Many will say to me on that day; Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name (that means, by Your authority), and in Your name cast our demons, and in Your name perform many wonders?  And then I will declare to them; I never knew you, depart from Me, you who practice iniquity.”  Mat 7:21-23

 

But Father, even though Jesus said those things, are those YOUR words also?  We want to hear it from YOU.

 

“And a voice came out of the cloud and said: This is My beloved Son, HEAR YE HIM !   Lk 9:35

 

“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”   Mat 28:18

 

“Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me?  The words that I say to you, I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me, does His works.”  Believe Me, that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me..”  Jn 14:10

 

“I and the father are ONE!”   Jn 10-30

 

 

But Father, We know that You are a loving God.  We’ve read your words in 1 Jn 4:8,  “..For God IS love.”  And we feel certain, that if You love everyone, then You won’t send anyone to Hell.  Isn’t that right?

 

 

 

 

 

“You are mistaken, not understanding the scriptures, or the power of God!”  Mat 22:29

 

“He became the source of salvation, to all those who OBEY Him.”  Heb 5:9

 

“He who believes in the Son, has eternal life, but he who does not OBEY Him, shall not SEE life, but the WRATH of God is upon him.”  Jn 3:36

 

“For the WRATH of God is revealed from heaven against ALL ungodliness, and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.”  Rom 1:18

 

“..The Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven, with His mighty angels in flaming fire, taking VENGEANCE on those who do not know God, and DO NOT OBEY the gospel of our Lord Jesus.  And these will pay the penalty of ETERNAL DESTRUCTION , away from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power.”  2 Thess 1:8-9. 

 

 

 

 

“Righteousness and JUSTICE are the foundation of Thy throne”.   Psalm 89:14

 

“But if OUR unrighteousness, demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say?  The God who inflicts WRATH is not unrighteous, is He?  May it never be!  For otherwise, how will God judge the world?”  Rom 3:5-6

 

“..Vengeance is Mine, I will repay!  And again, The Lord will JUDGE His people!”  “It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God!”  Heb 10:30-31

 

“Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming in which ALL who are in the graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth; Those who did good deeds, to a resurrection of life, those who did evil deeds, to a resurrection of judgment.”  Jn 5:28-29

 

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Much more then, having been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.”  Rom 5:8-9

 

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that who ever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.  For God did not send the Son into the world to JUDGE the world, but that the world should be SAVED  through Him.  He who believes is not judged; He who does NOT believe, is JUDGED ALREADY, because he has NOT BELIEVED in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  And this is the judgment; that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light, for their deeds were evil.  For everyone who does evil, hates the light, and does not come TO the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.”  Jn 3:16-20

 

 

“Enter by the narrow gate, for the gate is wide, and the way is broad, that leads to destruction, and MANY are those who enter by it.  For the gate is small, and the way is narrow, that leads to life, and FEW are those who find it.”  Mat 7:13-14

 

“If you love Me, KEEP My comamndments!”  Jn 14:15

 

“And why do you call Me Lord, Lord, and do not DO, the things that I say?”  Lk 6:46

 

“NOT EVERYONE who says to Me Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven..”  Mat 7:21

 

 

But Father..

 

“The Lord is in His Holy temple, let all the earth be SILENT before him.”  Habakkuk 2:20

 

 

 

 

 

But Lord God, I don’t think it’s fair !

 

“Who is this who darkens counsel with words without knowledge?  Now gird up your loins like a man, and I will ask YOU, and YOU instruct Me! 

 

Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?  Tell Me if you have understanding.  Who set it’s measurements, since you know?  Or who stretched the line on it?  On what were it’s bases sunk?  Or who laid it’s cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? 

 

 

 

Or who enclosed the sea with doors, when bursting forth it went from the womb; when I made a cloud it’s garment. and thick darkness it’s swaddling band.  And I placed boundaries on it, and I set a bolt and doors, and I said; Thus far you shall come, and no farther; And here your waves shall stop? 

 

 

 

Have you ever in your life commanded the morning, and caused the dawn to know it’s place, that it might take hold of the ends of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it?  It is changed like clay under the seal: And they stand forth like a garment.  And from the wicked their light is withheld, and the uplifted arm is broken. 

 

 

 

 

Have you entered into the springs of the sea?  Have you walked in the recesses of the deep?  Have the gates of death been revealed to you?  Or have you seen the gates of deep darkness?  Tell Me, if you know all this!”   Job 38:2-18

 

“Will the faultfinder contend with the Almighty?  Let him who reproves God, answer it!”  Job 40:1

 

“Will you really annul My judgment?  Will you condemn Me, that you may be justified?  Or do you have an arm like God?  And can you thunder with a voice like His?”  Job 40:8-9

 

 

Will You Question God’s Word ?

 

“Father, I have sinned against heaven and in Thy sight.  I am no longer worthy to be called your son..”    Lk 15:18-19

 

 

Will Everyone Go To Heaven? 

 

Are you prepared to contend with the Almighty God?  I’m not.  My prayer is that we may all HEAR His word, and BELIEVE His word, and OBEY His word.

 

“He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you, but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”  Micah 6:8
